Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this study is to learn how to use technology to facilitate sustainable CBT through conducting the systematic review utilizing the PRISMA framework. The literature review is only built on published and peer-reviewed journals and mainly on international situations, where CBT is a necessity. The qualitative research study is based on the thematic synthesis as the method of data analysis, which clarifies 85 high-quality papers identified during screening 544 documents to identify the possibility on trends, challenges, and opportunities in the use of digital technologies in CBT. The key highlights are dedicated to the best application of the latest technologies, including IoT sensors, QR codes, and AI-based solutions, to improve the operation and resource productivity, visitor experience, etc. The possible threats, including low rates of digital competencies and insufficient rates of digitalization, are considered, and the possible resources, including investment in capacity and involvement of actors, are discussed.
