Research on the Causes of Safety Accidents in Super High-Rise Buildings—Empirical Analysis Based on Bivariate Probit Model

Abstract: Abstract In this paper, the causes of super high-rise safety accidents are analyzed based on the Bivariate Probit model with 185 typical accident cases in recent years. The accident information is preprocessed and classified from three dimensions, i.e. accident characteristics, project characteristics and organizational characteristics. The empirical results indicate that there is a positive correlation between the fatal accidents and the economic loss accidents, and the 12 selected variables such as accident type, accident hazard source, accident occurrence stage, building purpose, project area, and whether the company has construction experience in super high-rise buildings, have significant effects on the occurrence of the two types of accidents.
