Chapter Chapter 6 in Economic History of Energy and Environment, 2015, pp 117-121 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This is a comprehensive study of the history of Japan’s electric power industry. It achieves the status of a magnum opus not only because it comes to more than 600 pages, but also because it represents research of the highest quality. The author is a leading expert in the field, who has extensive background in writing and editing histories of electric-power companies. This book is expected to attract a great deal of attention from both economic and business historians, as is another monumental work by the same author (Kikkawa 1995).
