Chapter Chapter 6 in Biotechnology Regulation and Trade, 2017, pp 99-124 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides a thorough review of various international regulatory initiatives implemented or under negotiation to develop the architecture for regulating the production, trade and marketing of biologically-derived crops, bioproducts and foods. The results of these global governance efforts are compared and contrasted to provide for a detailed assessment of how transformative technology barriers have been identified and addressed within the existing and emerging institutions.
