Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, we present a data-driven optimization approach to improve railway punctuality. The approach can be integrated as an add-on to the existing railway planning process. We present the mathematical formulation of the optimization problem and use a simple illustrative example to demonstrate its effectiveness.
