Abstract: Abstract In this paper we analyze priority multi-server retrial inventory queues with Markovian arrival process generated by a single or dual sources and exponential service times where both queueing and orbit spaces are assumed finite. We derive Markov models assuming homogenous service rates for two customer classes with different service priorities. The generalized stochastic Petri net (GSPN) models for non-identical service rates scenario has been employed. We show the equivalence between the two methods when service rates are identical. The GSPN models are then used to investigate the impact of parameter change, including service heterogeneity on some performance measures of interest. Finally we solve a state-dependent service rate optimization problem to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed GSPN models.
