Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, we fuzzified the total cost and demand in the basic Economic Order Quantity model using the polygonal fuzzy numbers. By generalizing the signed distance defuzzification method for the polygonal fuzzy numbers, we apply this new method to the basic inventory model. Then we show that our method gives better results than triangular fuzzy model.
