Abstract: Abstract This manuscript aims at developing a benchmarking instrument that enables managers to critically assess the volatility management performance for a product’s supply chain to identify needs for action. Additionally, based on a survey among 87 manufacturing firms, the current state of volatility management in modern supply chains will be discussed.
