Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, we have drawn a reflection on how consumers invest their confidence in the intention to buy online. We also show that, although some consumers are responsible for the choices they make, they face different types of e-commerce specific fraud. Based on the information accumulated through the research of the current specialized bibliography, a model for testing consumer confidence in e-commerce was conceptualized, formulating several hypotheses, generated by the components of the model. The hypotheses are verified by the model of the questionnaire, and the processing of the results was carried out by means of the Smart PLS 3 software, so as to provide a dimension as correct as possible to measure the confidence granted to online shopping, namely to measure the chance of occurrence of the most common frauds reported by consumers to European Consumer Centers Network (ECC-Net).
