Abstract: Abstract Investing is one of the basic ways to increase the capital of a company. It is also a basic factor for economic growth and development, a prerequisite for conducting profitable operations in the long run. The research problem of this paper is the importance of investment in business operations and the relationship between investment and the value of assets on one hand and the results achieved by companies on the other. Its objective is to quantify the investments made by companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The article hypothesizes that investments are an important asset of an enterprise, influencing the company’s financial results. The source of data for the research is the financial statements of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, operating as part of the RESPECT Index project framework.
