Abstract: Abstract Now, humanity has been going through a period of crisis generated by a virus that is hardly overcome. Its emergence has generated panic, medical, social, and economic, challenging individuals and legal entities to manage their resources in such a way as to overcome this crisis with as little loss as possible – and why not? – and find opportunities or solutions for economic growth. In this paper, we intend to analyze the activity of the “top ten” companies from Bihor County in the field most affected by this pandemic, “hotels and restaurants.” We analyze the activity of these companies in comparison with the “road freight transport,” a sector for which we believe that opportunities for economic growth have arisen. In assessing the classification in the top ten companies in these fields, we have considered the level of turnover, net profit achieved, and the average number of employees. So, we are studying twenty companies, ten for each mentioned field, following the management of resources from 2015 to 2020. The questions we want to find answers to in this paper refer to developments of the key indicators regarding the activity carried out (turnover, receivables, debts), human resources (average number of employees), material resources (fixed or current assets), and financial resources (cash availability). Following the study, conclusions are drawn on analyzing the indicators achieved in 2020 compared to those achieved during 2015–2019.
