Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this chapter is to gain some understanding of the motivation for immigration, and how these immigrants with lack of knowledge of language and culture were able to cope, manage, and survive the sudden and dramatic change in their lives through assimilation and acculturation. The journey that took Palestinian sojourners from Palestine to this land occurred in three main waves of immigration from the Holy Land to Central America, South America, and North America. The remarkable success of these early immigrants and their extraordinary accomplishments warrants further studies.
