Abstract:
Abstract The topic of this chapter is focused on the impacts of the implemented COVID-19 measures on the sectoral structure of companies in Slovakia. The aim of this chapter will be to examine the effects of the measures implemented under the current state aid schemes during the COVID-19 pandemic on companies, depending on their sectoral structure in the Slovak Republic and propose recommendations for further development of implemented measures of companies in connection with maximizing their effectiveness. The subject of the investigation is the state aid instruments introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, their impact on businesses within the sectors. The subject represents selected sectors at risk of a pandemic, which were covered by state aid instruments. The research methods used are secondary and primary data analyses, descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, synthesis, and deduction. The primary data come from a questionnaire survey of supported companies. Secondary data come from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
