Abstract:
Abstract In today’s extremely challenging business environment, conducting collaborative R&D projects is believed to be vital to developing successful technology innovations, and achieving sustaining technological growth. Moreover, partner selection represents the main difficulty inherent in the management of such projects. Thus, this study is aimed at supporting the effective selection of partners for collaborative technological R&D projects by identifying the most appropriate selection factors and defining structured and methodology-supported criteria prioritization process under fuzzy environments. The proposed framework is based on the MCDM approach, namely the extension of the AHP technique within the context of IT2F utilized in order to fully describe the inherent uncertainties to the criteria prioritization problems, and make it more convenient for applying under a highly vague and uncertain decision environment.
