Chapter Chapter 29 in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Post COVID-19, 2023, pp 421-434 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Personnel development is becoming increasingly important as one of the areas of adult education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education.” As with any economic process, staff training and development must be valued in terms of benefits and costs. This chapter hypothesizes the effectiveness of the contribution to education in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results of the analysis of financial statements and calculations of enterprises, an assessment of the effectiveness of the personnel training system was made, and recommendations were given for its improvement in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4. A correlation-regression method was used, which provided additional evidence to confirm the proposed hypothesis. The relationship between the average wage and the share of adult participation in education has been established. Data from UNESCO, Eurostat, as well as financial documents of enterprises and statistics of the European Union countries on adult learning, were used as an information base.
