Abstract: Abstract Driven by external shocks, such as the COVID-19 Crisis or the Ukraine War, and an ever rapidly changing market environment, businesses must cope with more and more frequent challenges to defend their market share. Disruptive technologies and legal provisions have the potential to threaten the business of entire industries. Thus, to create sustainable success, it is mandatory for companies to develop the ability to continuously create competitive advantages in even shorter cycles. The purpose of this paper is to initially design and refine a System Dynamics (SD) model derived from the findings of a first test of an Initial Conceptual Model. Some case results from data collected at a large automotive supplier in Germany are also discussed.
