Abstract: Abstract The paper addresses an important issue related to labour market flexibility and work-life balance, using Poland as a case study. Flexibilization of the labour market occurs in the context of specific expectations and needs related to the balance between professional and private life, especially among young workers. The study presents an analysis of the level of labour market flexibility in Poland in the years 2023–2024, as well as Poland's position in comparison to other European countries in terms of work-life balance, citing the OECD Better Life Index ranking. The research results indicate that labour market flexibility can contribute to improving work-life balance, but it also carries risks related to excessive employee burden and job insecurity. The article emphasizes the need to develop appropriate regulations and policies that would support the sustainable development of the labour market in Poland, benefiting both employees and employers.
