Abstract: Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly important role in shaping the modern world, affecting a wide range of fields from industry to education and healthcare. Generation Z, defined as those born after 1995, grew up in an environment heavily saturated with technology, making their perceptions of artificial intelligence a particularly interesting subject of study. Unlike earlier generations, who viewed the introduction of new technologies as a process, members of Generation Z grew up in a world where digital technologies, including AI, are an integral part of everyday life. This means that their approach to AI is more pragmatic, but also often critical, especially in terms of its impact on society and the labor market. Young people in this group show greater sensitivity to ethical issues such as data protection and the dangers of algorithmic biases. This study is part of a broader study that aims to understand Generation Z's perception of artificial intelligence. It is a pilot study with a convenient sample of 125 young Poles that aims to add to the existing literature for the future development of the technology. Younger generations will increasingly determine the direction of AI development, as well as the legal and ethical regulations associated with it. Therefore, studying their opinions and attitudes toward AI can provide valuable information for researchers, policymakers, and technology companies that develop and implement AI systems.
