A chapter in Impacting Society Positively Through Technology in Accounting and Business Processes, 2025, pp 1231-1248 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Technological advancements combined with big data have disrupted the traditional approach of conducting and growing businesses. To survive and maintain a competitive edge in the digital era, it is vital to generate new business models. This chapter applied a bibliometric review and meta-analysis by utilizing the SCOPUS database to explore the academic research that has been conducted on big data innovation and its impact on business growth. The VOSviewer software was utilized to construct and visualize the bibliometric networks from the extracted data. The findings show an increase in the number of documents published on the topic from 2021 to 2023. Entrepreneurship, integration, innovation, data analytics, and technological advancements were dominant issues in leveraging big data for business growth. The significance of the study is that the study identified the research gaps from the previous studies and explored how organizations can leverage big data for business growth.
