Abstract: Abstract The paper explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can transform primary education, enhancing both teaching and learning approaches. By examining AI applications, challenges, and future directions, this paper offers a detailed analysis of how AI can be integrated into primary education along with strategies for success. While the paper takes a closer look at primary education in the UAE and the Middle East, the findings are considered to be globally applicable. AI technology’s rapid growth is causing a revolution in several sectors, including education. Primary education, being the crucial starting point for a child’s academic journey, can experience substantial advantages from AI innovations. AI has the potential to tackle various educational hurdles, providing unprecedented possibilities. This paper aims to respond to crucial queries about how AI affects student engagement and instructional planning in primary classrooms. Using AI-driven tools such as adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, and automated assessment platforms has great potential in enhancing student performance and engagement. These tools also provide valuable support to teachers in instructional planning and assessment. By utilizing AI technologies, education becomes more inclusive and efficient through personalized learning, interactive content, and real-time feedback. Every student can succeed with AI’s support for various learning requirements. Incorporating AI in primary education brings various obstacles, such as data privacy, educator training, and AI system dependability. Successfully addressing these challenges is vital for the ethical and effective use of AI in educational settings. In this paper, a variety of recommendations for promoting the integration of AI are presented. These recommendations include policy suggestions, educator training programs, and guidelines for the ethical utilization of AI in education. Continued research and collaboration are necessary to harness AI’s capabilities responsibly and maximize its benefits for future generations. Primary education could be revolutionized through AI, creating personalized, inclusive, and efficient learning experiences.
