Abstract: Abstract In today’s modern globe, low-cost airlines have significantly advanced in the global aviation market, which is due to the introduction of a customer-oriented, cost-effective model by them. Although low-cost airlines offer customers low airfares, the existing service is no longer sufficient. Therefore, customer satisfaction is significantly important for each airline in today’s competitive market. Accordingly, the paper discusses the role of customer satisfaction in airline competition, in what ways modern low-cost airlines achieve increased customer satisfaction, what is the significance of implementing technological innovations, accessibility of services and usage of digital platforms in this context. The study is based on a synthesized analysis—existing data is reviewed according to current statistics, which is determined by the analysis of customer behavior and current trends. The study includes a detailed description and discussion of those services that directly affect the level of user satisfaction and determine its creation. The impact of artificial intelligence and smart technologies in improving the level of customer satisfaction is also discussed. The results of the study show that the more a low-cost airline meets customer expectations, the more competitive the company becomes. Accordingly, customer satisfaction becomes an important strategic tool not only in terms of loyalty, but also in terms of increasing market share in the aviation market.
