Abstract: Abstract Since the permanent shutdown of Kori Unit 1, research on nuclear decommissioning has advanced significantly. Core components of nuclear power plants, such as the RPV (Reactor Pressure Vessel), Steam Generators, and Reactor Coolant Pumps, have the highest radiation levels, with the RPV being the most radiologically significant after the nuclear fuel. Due to the radiation and varying thickness of different sections, specific cutting methods must be applied at each location. Effective decommissioning requires accurate pre-information (2D, 3D models), radiological analysis, and feasibility assessments for dismantling processes and equipment. However, traditional methods and physical mock-ups are insufficient. To overcome these challenges, this paper presents a VR (Virtual Reality) and haptic-based RPV Dismantling Simulator, designed to enhance remote dismantling technology and improve operator training in a safe, virtual environment.
