Abstract:
Abstract Creating communities is a constant concern for all fields of activity. The European Cultural Capital Timisoara program was explicitly oriented towards activating the community and creating a sense of belonging to the city’s cultural sphere. This can be achieved mainly through volunteers. The present paper refers to the young people of Interact, a community of volunteers made up of high school students who develop projects with social impact. The individual interviews conducted on this topic captured the perceptions of the representatives of the Interact clubs in Timișoara about the volunteer activity in the year 2023 Timisoara European Cultural Capital, bringing to the fore challenges and opportunities that the young volunteers encountered.
