Abstract: Abstract Agriculture 4.0 aims to enable intelligent management across production and post-production stages. I4.0 technologies optimize resource allocation—materials, energy, water, and products—by leveraging real-time data from production systems and supply chains. Understanding the impacts, benefits, and challenges of digital adoption is essential for agricultural sustainability. Despite numerous studies, further research is needed. This paper presents a Systematic Literature Review of 42 articles from Web of Science and Scopus. Findings indicate recent and growing publications, highlighting key journals, leading countries, collaborations, and major I4.0 technologies. Internet of Things sensors, Big Data analysis, and Artificial Intelligence emerge as highly beneficial. Over time, keywords like “smart agriculture,” “food security,” “IoT,” and “agricultural sustainability” have gained prominence, indicating academic interest in these topics and their potential for future exploration.
