Abstract:
Abstract This paper examines the role of returnee entrepreneurs in ecosystem creation in the Indian solar energy sector. While India is known as an important source of emigrants, what is less well known is that in recent years there has been an increasing degree of reverse migration into countries like India and China. This article studies their role in start-ups to understand how their participation helped to build the nascent renewable energy ecosystem. It provides a framework together with propositions and case examples to support the framework.
