Abstract:
Abstract The study evaluates the impact of virtual assistants with artificial intelligence on the learning of Industrial Engineering students. It is proposed that these assistants can improve autonomous learning, and an experimental protocol is developed to compare their effectiveness with that of face-to-face assistants. The results indicate that the level of learning remains similar in both modalities, but the experience varies: the virtual assistant is innovative and accessible, although with limitations in depth and fluency of answers, while the face-to-face assistant offers greater clarity and interaction. It is concluded that virtual assistants complement face-to-face education, being a support for autonomous learning, but require improvements to optimize their impact.
