Chapter Chapter 7 in New Perspectives in Economics and Management, Vol 1, 2026, pp 95-104 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This paper explores the multifaceted nature of performance evaluation within organizations, emphasizing how both structural and psychosocial elements influence employee development and organizational outcomes. While compensation remains an essential motivator, factors such as leadership quality, organizational culture, career planning, and feedback mechanisms significantly shape performance perceptions and employee engagement. Grounded in foundational theories of motivation and organizational behavior, this study highlights the importance of aligning performance appraisal systems with broader human resource strategies. It argues that an integrated, fair, and development-oriented evaluation approach is critical to fostering a productive and committed workforce in today’s dynamic business landscape.
