Abstract:
Abstract In today’s dynamic, project-based business environment, emotionally intelligent leadership has become critical to achieving project success. This study explores the impact of project managers’ Emotional Intelligence on project outcomes, with a particular focus on the mediating effect of Transformational Leadership. Filling a critical gap in existing research, this study investigates how Emotional Intelligence shapes leadership style and subsequently influences project performance. Data were collected through an online survey involving 250 professionals from various industries, utilizing validated instruments: the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i) to assess Emotional Intelligence, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) to evaluate leadership style, and the Critical Success Factors (CSF) framework to measure project success. The results indicate a strong positive association between Emotional Intelligence and Transformational Leadership, along with a moderate but significant link between Transformational Leadership and project success. The results highlight the strategic value of integrating emotional competencies into leadership development and project management training.
