Abstract: Abstract New technologies play a pivotal role within the travel and tourism sector, especially by affecting the tourism distribution channels, by transforming the tourist experience and, also, by influencing drastically the tourists’ perception towards destinations. Aim of the present study is to discuss how new technologies influence the perception of Athens as a tourist and cultural destination.
