Abstract: Abstract The article highlights the fundamental barriers and limitations which require changes in the pursuit of the goal of common use of electric cars. What has been proposed with reference to the example of the tool developed, i.e. GT Planner, is the (two-way) information transfer which can be used owing to ICT solutions to promote this travelling mode (case studies in European cities). It also drew attention to the current transport accessibility of city centre in relation to electric vehicles. In the conclusions, further action objectives to be oriented towards have been indicated as those which have the potential to extend the functionality of the tool described in the area addressed.
