Abstract: Abstract The motivation of this study is to explore the relationship between e-government usage and corruption at a country level. This paper statistically assesses this relationship using data of 164 countries collected by credible organizations. Secondary data included in various reports published by international agencies were used for analyses. The sample of 164 countries makes the results more generalized than those published in previous studies. The empirical analysis shows that e-govt index is a significant antecedent of corruption index. The findings reported in this paper have important implications for policy makers and researchers.
