Abstract:
Abstract Behavioural finance is flourishing with its own principle and methodology and has focused on the rationality of investor’s investment planning and decisions. Most of the researchers are coming from western part of the globe and have limited study in Southeast Asia. The purpose of the study is to define the relationship of identified determinants with investment pattern and to explore the relationship of psychological factors influencing the investment decision makings with the returns through investments. Through exploratory approach, seven factors were explored through PCA using rotated component matrix. Statistical tool regression analysis was the seven constructs which explains 48.2% variance of the model. This study will provide food for thought for the researchers who want to work in the field of behavioural finance. This study will also enable managers and policy-makers in understanding the ongoing research in the fields of behavioural finance and investment pattern of investors.
