Abstract: Abstract In the context of developing Vietnam’s entrepreneurial workforce, this study examines the role of entrepreneurship education in universities. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), it evaluates the impact of entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial intentions of Gen Z economics students at universities in Hanoi (the capital of Vietnam). A convenient random sampling method was used, and data collected through survey questionnaires from 348 participating students were analyzed using Smart-PLS software. The PLS-SEM data analysis method results, based on the author’s proposed research model, show that entrepreneurship education plays a significant role, positively and strongly influencing students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Entrepreneurship education also positively impacts students’ perceptions, subjective norms, and attitudes toward entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about entrepreneurship and influencers was found to have no impact on entrepreneurial intentions. These findings suggest recommendations for government agencies: to build a startup nation and develop a robust entrepreneurial workforce, it is essential to implement entrepreneurship education activities, especially in universities actively.
