Abstract:
Abstract This study investigates the relationship between workplace bullying and EVLN responses (exit, voice, loyalty, and neglect) and examines whether climate for conflict management (CCM) moderates this relationship. A scenario-based experiment was conducted with 172 faculty members at Indian universities to test hypotheses. Results revealed that CCM moderated the relationship between workplace bullying and EVLN responses. There was a negative impact of CCM on the relationship between bullying–exit and bullying–neglect relationships. Conversely, CCM positively impacted bullying–voice and bullying–loyalty relationships. This is one of the few studies investigating EVLN outcomes in the context of workplace bullying in academia. By introducing CCM as a moderator, we provided practical insights into regulating victims’ coping strategies.
