Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on the iPhone Operating System (iOS), providing insights into its history, vulnerabilities, adversarial techniques, malware types, current solutions for mitigating attacks, and the utilization of iOS services. The chapter begins by outlining the basics of iOS history, highlighting its evolution and key developments. It then explores the cybersecurity landscape of iOS, discussing the vulnerabilities and risks associated with the platform. Adversarial techniques used to exploit iOS vulnerabilities are examined, shedding light on the strategies employed by attackers. The chapter proceeds to dissect various types of iOS malware, emphasizing the importance of maintaining app security in the face of cybercrime and malware attacks. Current solutions for mitigating attacks on iOS devices are explored, underscoring the robust security features of iOS and the protection of user personal data. Furthermore, the trend of utilizing iOS services is discussed, including wearable technology, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).
