Abstract: Abstract This chapter presents cybersecurity risk analysis, assessment, and mitigation strategies in healthcare organizations. The chapter begins by exploring vulnerabilities, threats, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies for protecting healthcare data. It then describes risk response strategies, risk mitigation steps, and a risk management framework. The risk-based cybersecurity framework can be used to manage cybersecurity risks in a healthcare organization. The chapter proceeds to discuss the design and implementation of effective mitigation strategies including risk response strategies and risk mitigation steps for protecting healthcare data. Lastly, it discusses backup and data recovery strategies.
