Chapter Chapter 2 in Collaborative Quality Assurance in Information Systems Development, 2016, pp 9-57 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the following, this chapter provides the conceptual and theoretical foundations to investigate how team cognition affects the application of collaborative quality assurance techniques in ISD teams and how continued use of collaborative quality assurance techniques affects team cognition and team performance in turn. In a first step, core concepts of the investigation are defined. Subsequently, analyses of extant research on collaborative quality assurance techniques and team cognition in ISD teams are conducted. Based on these analyses, the theoretical lenses are selected that constitute the basis for the further investigations, namely the theory of transactive memory systems and the concept of functional affordances.
