A chapter in Digital Transformation of the Consulting Industry, 2018, pp 191-205 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Even though consulting firms strengthen the competitiveness of their clients by innovative solutions and substantially take part in the development of new concepts for digitalization, consulting services are often only performed by the traditional face-to-face approach. Virtualization is a megatrend, which consulting providers have to acknowledge in their own business processes. In this contribution, we derive a possible procedure to allow the ex ante assessment of the virtualization potential of consulting processes (or their sub-steps). This will be done theory driven and on the basis of supplementary empirical research.
