Abstract: Abstract This case examines a research study conducted within the framework of the MATRE project, which was funded by the Tempus program. The case study examines the design and application of self-administered questionnaire methodology. The study case reports the process of questionnaire formulation, translation from English to Arabic and the design of combined methodology of both, traditional and online survey questionnaires. A SWOT analysis is developed to detect areas of strength and weaknesses of the questionnaire. Lessons learned from the case emphasize the importance of better integration and coordination between questionnaire designers and administrators, particularly when a combined approach of data collection design is employed. Question 14 in the target research section was reformulated to improve response type and data collected.
