Abstract: Abstract Looking at today’s organisations, more and more business processes are facilitated by using (distributed) information systems (IS), such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, document management systems (DMS), or human resources management (HRM) systems. From a technical point of view, these IS consist of distributed client/server-architectures.
