Abstract:
Abstract This article introduces readers to the research program of Relational Economics. The fundamental categories for analyzing a relational view of economics—the transaction, governance, and cooperation rent—are developed in terms of their process logic for private and societal value creation. The management of stakeholder networks on one hand, and pattern and structure formation on the other hand, two important drivers of shared value creation in the relational economy are also included in the discussion.
