Abstract: Abstract This chapter sheds light on the main characteristics of Brazil as an entrepreneurial ecosystem, by providing an up-to-date review of the status of the Brazilian entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as identifying several challenges Brazil has to overcome, in order to foster the opportunities for the companies that are born in its territory and their growing possibilities. Several cities focused on entrepreneurial activities, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, or Porto Alegre, are characterized in terms of their entrepreneurial ecosystems. Several research avenues are made available to the readers.
