Chapter Chapter 10 in Mastering Technology Transfer: From Invention to Innovation, 2023, pp 91-105 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Once you have proven the scientific and technological basis of your concept in Stage 2, you will embark on the long effort of the research and development of your technology in Stage 3. There are fortunately many opportunities for funding your research at this point and the funds available to promising technologies are of sufficiently high value to allow full development. Stage 3 is where you will optimise your technology and find ways to achieve its maximum technological potential. Keep an eye open for new opportunities which can arise from many directions.
