A chapter in Entrepreneurial Education in a Global and Digital World, 2026, pp 3-16 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter investigates the integration of creativity and innovation skills into the school curriculum from the perspective of entrepreneurial education, advocating for their incorporation into the educational project as a strategy to develop proactive and resilient students. This theoretical-reflective research analyses practices, active methodologies, and international curricular experiences that demonstrate how entrepreneurial education can be designed in a cross-cutting and contextualized way, from basic to higher education. Based on a literature review, the study identifies strategies that foster skills such as leadership, critical thinking, autonomy, and problem-solving skills for the twenty-first century. The use of emerging technologies, innovation labs, interdisciplinary projects, and partnerships between schools, communities, and the productive sector are identified as facilitators in building innovative educational ecosystems. The results show that entrepreneurial education, by integrating transversal skills into daily school life, contributes not only to academic success but also to social and economic development. The study concludes that flexible curricula and the development of “teacherpreneurs” are crucial to addressing contemporary challenges and preparing citizens who can innovate and collaborate in diverse contexts.
