Abstract:
Abstract I have used the computer algebra system Maple for more than 30 years in my research and three PhD-level management science courses I have taught. I also wrote a book on Maple to illustrate its successful use in solving operations research/management science problems. In this paper, I will first present a detailed presentation of Maple’s use in my course on stochastic processes and include relevant Maple worksheets. This is followed by a description of Maple’s use in my course on dynamic programming and optimal control. The paper ends with a discussion of my third PhD course on game theory. The complete list of all Maple worksheets presented is available on my homepage at https://profs.degroote.mcmaster.ca/ads/parlar/ORMapleBook/Parlar-Supplements-SpringerORForum.zip.
