Chapter Chapter 9 in Stateness and Democratic Consolidation, 2022, pp 189-192 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract What bolsters a country’s consolidation of democracy and ensures democracy’s endurance and resilience? What promotes democratic backsliding and fosters authoritarian consolidation? What kind of conditions favor an uncertain democratization path marked by back and forth cycles, i.e., a back and forth between democratic consolidation and democratic backsliding? These are some of the questions that this book tried to answer.
