Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we clarify the concept of the post-Soviet area and give a description of its structure. Paying attention to the uniqueness of the Soviet media system, we also recognize the diversity of media development in the post-Soviet period, which need to be explained. Also, we give the characteristic to the book sections.
