Abstract:
Abstract This paper is devoted to the understanding of online coping strategies during the pandemic and the period of self-isolation in the Russian-language segment of social media. The case discussed is the Internet flash mob #Изоизоляция (#Izoizolyacia) devoted to the reproductions of the works of art made by social media users. The participation in this flash mob is interpreted as an individually collective creative action and coping strategy based on the collective exchange of the ideas and positive emotions. It is concluded that the participants of the flash mob reconsidered and challenged their daily routine in conditions of limited mobility.
