Abstract: Abstract By the middle of 2012, more than 3 years have passed since the outbreak of 2008 global financial crisis. Although some countries in the European Union are still in deep financial troubles, it is time to reflect what happened during the past few years and what can be learned from this crisis for future coping strategies.
