Chapter Chapter 9 in China's International Projection in the Xi Jinping Era, 2020, pp 83-86 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The future of the relations between China and the UK is strictly linked to the developments in the process that is taking Britain off the EU. Between the two countries, the ties have improved considerably over the last decade. However, the ongoing political tensions between China and the USA will make harder for the UK to strike a balance. In an increasingly polarized world, however, the feasibility of a “depoliticized” partnership might prove more difficult than previously thought.
